Hey there party people!
So, Carnival was, to put it lightly, CRAZY! Enough said, right? Blech, I knew you'd disagree with me. Unfortunately I just don't have the time or willpower to detail another vacation to ya'll (I've been hanging out with Southerners WAY too much lately), but I will leave you with a few choice photos to give you a tiny idea of what the past couple weeks has been like.... (remember you can click on images to make them bigger)
| Let's start you off with something nice, simple, and inoffensive, little kids dressed up as clowns. |
| Well, that didn't last long. Here's a perfect example of a Spanish guy's favorite thing to do during carnival -- don a nice dress, put on some tights, high heels, and some lip gloss, and venture out into the city with his home boys. |
| I actually really loved their costumes, very original |
| One of the competing band/groups who dance in the street on Saturday |
| Another competing group.... |
| ...and part of another |
| Ah, here we go! |
| These little boys were adorable! The other one you can barely see was a cowboy :) |
| They like to start them cross dressing young, this boy was probably 10. |
| Monica Lewinsky! |
| Best looking Snow White I saw |
| Just think, one day they too will borrow their mother's/wife's eyeliner and pantyhose and make a spectacle of themselves... |
| My friend Callie with her cowgirl twin. Can you tell which one is really from Alabama? |
| Dressing up as a pirate wasn't enough. They just had to do the slutty pirate thing. I wonder if they're really American sorority girls? (sorry, I mean no offense to any actual sorority girlfriends back home who enjoy "dressing up" for Halloween...) |
| Some quality father-daughter time spent dancing in the street. |
Welp, I think I'm going to leave you with these images and let you ponder about the monstrosity of my vacations. Try not to have nightmares about what you might have just seen, and try not to think too much about the too-vulgar pictures of hairy man-legs covered in thin tights that I didn't want to post to spare you the vomit. All in all, a great vacation and one of the most amazing/interesting experiences I've ever had. Oh yeah, and I also got stuck in a Spanish bathroom along the highway AND lost my luggage when pure stupidity took me over as I walked off a bus in San Sebastian and never looked back. What a trip. Gotta catch a plane to Ireland now, but tune in next week some time for some of the more elaborate and gory details of my trip (don't worry, I'll keep it 90% censored).
Take it easy!
